Dynamic Monte Carlo Simulation:

This applet models the adsorption of CO (red) and dioxygen (blue) on a platinum (100) surface. They react on the surface to form carbon dioxide and an oxygen atom, the carbon dioxide immediately desorbing. The temperature is much lower than the enthalpies of desorption or diffusion. The partial pressures of CO and dioxygen are initially equal. Clicking on the appropriate button will increase the partial pressure of one relative to the other. The maximum relative ratio is 10:1.
